Senior Project Architect

Location: Grand Rapids, MI Type: Full-time

Mission:

At AMDG Architects, we believe architecture is an act of service. For more than 30 years, our team has partnered with mission-driven clients to design spaces that strengthen communities, support human flourishing, and stand the test of time.

Our mission is simple: to use our gifts and talents in the service of others.

We are seeking a Senior Project Architect who is energized by thoughtful design, technical precision, and meaningful collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who values both craftsmanship and relationships, and who desires to lead projects with integrity from early design through construction.

Core Values:

  • Built to Serve: Using our skills and talents to serve others is the purpose behind everything we do. If our work can bring delight—in ways big and small—we are fulfilling our mission.
  • Driven to Improve: As individuals and as a team, we continually test ideas and search for areas to improve. It is woven into our culture. We push ourselves not because we’re obligated, but because each of us is driven to become better.
  • Energized by Challenge: We run toward, not away, from challenge. Our willingness to face complex problems and team with others to create the best possible solution, sets our people and our work apart.
  • Defined by Excellence: We define excellence by the results we deliver for our clients. Getting there isn’t easy. It takes grit, follow-through, and an abiding commitment to teamwork. For us, excellence is a goal we never stop striving for—with intention, humility, and genuine enthusiasm.

  • Put Service First: Approach every project with humility, responsiveness, and a desire to create spaces that genuinely serve people.
  • Pursue Improvement: Seek opportunities to strengthen drawing standards, workflows, detailing, and team collaboration.
