Senior Interior Designer or Architect

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative, passionate, self-motivated, and talented Senior Interior Designer or Architect to join our collaborative and high-performing team dedicated to exceptional customer service and technical excellence. This person will take projects through all phases of design to construction.

We have a strong design sensibility, a passion for sustainable practices, and we manage projects from concept through construction.

Our designers are 100% in-office Monday through Thursday due to our commitment to collaborative design and mentoring (working remotely on Fridays as an option).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the interior design process throughout schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration
  • Develop design concepts through technical documentation with specific focus on detailing, millwork, lighting and all other areas that comprise the interior environment
  • Ensure all deliverables meet internal and external project requirements including time, budget, quality, and scope
  • Present ideas, resolve issues, and communicate project status to clients
  • Manage client expectations, team communications, and consultant coordination
  • Interface with consultants and vendors, source and provide quality material options, and prepare finishes, fixtures, and furniture
  • Developing furniture layouts, budgets, and bid documents
  • Documentation of interior finishes, millwork, and interior architecture using Revit
  • Production of 3D renderings using SketchUp and/or Revit
  • Creating graphic packages for client presentations using InDesign
  • Conduct site visits for field measurements, review construction progress and installation of materials

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as an Interior Designer, ideally with experienced with high-end residential design, k-12 education, and/or medical
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • NCIDQ certified or licensed Architect (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Revit and SketchUp
  • Extreme focus on details and excellent follow-through
  • Stellar time management and priority-setting, adapting to changing deadlines and competing demands
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven experience in creating and maintaining open, trusting, and productive relationships with teams and clients
  • Strong desire to continuously learn and grow
