purpose driven wellness
In the heart of the Forest Hills neighborhood, MVP Athletic Clubs envisioned the creation of a fitness center that would become a community cornerstone. Tasked with transforming the aging Orchard Hills Swim and Sports Club, AMDG, in collaboration with MVP, Rockford Construction, and Jennifer Butler Interior Design, brought new life to the space.
The reimagined facility artfully balances renovation and expansion. State-of-the-art cardio and strength zones, three versatile studios, an indoor turf training area, and a supervised dedicated children’s space now stand alongside refreshed outdoor pools and tennis courts. Indoors, five tennis courts and a full basketball court invite year-round recreation.
Transforming an outdated structure into an inspiring, high-performing space presented budget and spatial complexities. The design team faced the challenge of breaking up large, outdated volumes such as under-utilized tennis and racquetball courts, to create welcoming, intuitive spaces that align with MVP’s more current programming standards.
Through collaborative planning with Rockford Construction and Jennifer Butler Interior Design, AMDG delivered thoughtful solutions, from efficient layouts to finishes that reflect both durability and warmth. Each step, from zoning approvals to construction details, was shaped by transparent dialogue and collective expertise.
Since its completion in 2014, MVP Crahen has become a vital part of neighborhood life. The design reflects MVP’s mission: to enhance lives through active fun, connection, and meaningful programs. From early childhood to active adults, the facility welcomes every generation. Unified by purpose and strengthened by partnership, MVP and AMDG designed a facility where families gather, goals are achieved, and community thrives every day.
