AMDG joined Hope College in a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, October 17th to celebrate an impactful milestone both for the campus and the downtown Holland community.
A brand new 74,000 sf building will be home to the leading-edge, Christian, vocation-focused business programming offered through the college’s Economics & Business department. The building’s location will bridge Hope’s campus with the heart of downtown Holland, reflecting an enduring partnership between the two.
Designed with LMN Architects and Owen-Ames-Kimball, the building’s exterior intentionally gives nod to Hope’s Dimnent Chapel a legacy of the 5th president of the college, Dr. Edward Dimnent. The former president also established the Economics & Business program 95 years ago.
Inside, the building will provide a variety of state-of-the-art student-centered learning environments including study rooms, collaborative workspaces, a multipurpose event space, various lounge areas, a three-story atrium, and an auditorium to support community and business engagement.
With over two decades of project milestones achieved alongside Hope College, AMDG couldn’t be more honored to be a part of the design team for this impactful project.
